Adrian Carrio holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Oviedo, Spain. His final degree project entitled "Temperature compensation system for Conoscopic Holography-based distance measuring" was awarded the highest qualification. He is currently working towards a PhD in Automation and Robotics at the Technical University of Madrid, Spain.

His research interests include augmented reality for neural pattern recognition, stereo vision and autonomous navigation.

He has worked on the development of several Computer Vision-based projects for the steel industry, the aeronautics sector and the health care sector for different Spanish companies.

He was also member of the 1st prize winning team in the International Micro-Air Vehicle Competition 2013 in Toulouse, France.
